Seray makes portable basketball hoops: a kids model and three full-height models, all with shatterproof plastic backboards, Q195 steel rims and a base that fills with water or sand. The four hoops in this catalogue are the range as sold in the United States.
What separates them is the height range and the backboard. What they share is the build, the numbered-parts assembly and a one-year warranty.
One build, four height ranges
The kids hoop runs from 3.2 to 7.2 feet with a 29-inch backboard, two front wheels and a tool-free lift. The two 40-inch hoops run from roughly 3.3 or 3.4 feet to a regulation 10 across 18 levels on a four-piece pole; one adds a rebounder and PET board, the other a high-clarity PC board. The 44-inch hoop starts higher at 4.9 feet and reaches 10 with a one-button adjustment.
Across all four the frame is Q195 steel and the backboard is plastic rather than glass, polycarbonate on three and PET on the poolside model. The rims are 18 inches on the 40-inch models and spring-mounted on the 44-inch one. Nets are listed as all-weather nylon or polypropylene.
Bases, coatings and what the listings certify
Every base takes water or sand. The two 40-inch models mold storage grooves for basketballs and sandbags into the HDPE base and add a drainage hole; the kids hoop has grooves for weights and triangle bracing against tipping; the 44-inch model uses reinforced triangle support poles. Metal parts on the 40-inch models carry a rust-resistant coating for rain and pool splash.
Certification is stated per model. The kids hoop lists CPC certification, SGS testing to ASTM F963-17 and CPSIA lead and phthalate limits, and ISO-certified production. The poolside and 40-inch PC hoops list ASTM approval and CPC certification. The 44-inch hoop lists the one-year warranty that all four share.
Choosing a Seray hoop by the youngest player
Start from the lowest setting. A toddler or preschooler needs the kids hoop at 3.2 feet; an eight-year-old is fine at 3.3 or 3.4 on the 40-inch hoops; a teenager can start at the 44-inch hoop's 4.9 feet. Every hoop except the kids model reaches 10 feet, so the top end rarely decides.
Then look at the yard. Beside a pool, the rust-resistant coating, drainage hole and rebounder of the poolside hoop earn their place. In a short driveway, the four-piece pole that shortens on the 40-inch PC hoop keeps the pole out of the way. For bank shots and full-court feel, the 44-inch board is the widest target.
